Friends / Musicians

Bill Porter: Local rhythm/blues/rock icon. And my friend since the '70s.

Doc Holliday: Local band with friends John Morris, Larry Estes. Mostly acoustic folkish rock. Good stuff!

Tommy O'Donnell: Inktrail, Something Brother, Spelunkers, Ike Reilly, and a Jerry Reed fan! 'Nuff said.

Toby Walker: Acoustic blues finger picker extraordinaire.  Took his class at Fur Peace Ranch in '15. Excellent!

Pat Donohue: Another finger picking wizard.  Replaced Leo Kottke as house band for A Prairie Home Companion. Many excellent CDs but my favorite is "Big Blind Bluesy."

Venues - my local favorites

Lucca Grill: Best damn pizza around. And they have music once in a while. ;)

Schooners: Super cool beer garden and excellent music every Wednesday and Saturday. During warm weather.

HyVee Market Grill: Darn good food, and I play there every other month for the Tap Takeover events. Usually with Larry Estes.

DBA Farmers Market: The BEST Farmers Market in Central Illinois!

Rhythm Kitchen Music Cafe: Wonderful eclectic menu and blues/jazz every Friday and Saturday.
